IMMANUEL CRC MISSION STATEMENT

 

Our purpose is to love God above all, to care for each other, and to serve the world.

 

We LOVE GOD by:

WORSHIP -  the most central and important act of the church community.

STEWARDSHIP - in grateful obedience for His creation we return all we can to Him (gifts of time, spiritual gifts, and finances or material gifts).

KNOWING GOD - through prayer and studying God's word which leads to an intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

We CARE FOR EACH OTHER by:

FELLOWSHIP - we are a covenant community of love and encouragement, sharing pain and joy, meeting spiritual, physical and relationship needs, and celebrating the good news of God together in worship.

EDUCATION - we are here to provide care and education for all ages from babies in the nursery to bible studies for the elderly.

ADMINISTRATION - our Council and Staff are called to lead us, inspire us and teach us.  Our leaders will practice and teach accountability.  Our leaders will provide communication of all types needed for us be an effective community.

 

We SERVE THE WORLD by:

EVANGELISM - by enfolding new people, outward focused mission activity and loving our neighbors.

CHURCH PLANTING - we support the development of new church communities in our area through prayer, financial support and encouragement.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - that fulfills God's call for His people to be concerned for the poor.  We also seek justice for the oppressed and comfort for the imprisoned.
